• What is Smash Matchers?
• Smash Matchers is a YouTube show where players from all around the world play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U online and have their matches showcased for all to see. We have two uploads a week (soon to be three): Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each day has it's own type of content, which is explained further below in this FAQ. It's a show where ANYONE can show their stuff and hope to increase both their competitive skill and simple enjoyment by playing with others. All types are accepted, from hardcore competitive Smashers to anyone simply wanting to have fun and go crazy with this chaotic and extremely fun game!
• How do I play on Smash Matchers?
• Check the sidebar, it's explained pretty concisely there.
• Are 3DS players allowed?
• Unfortunately, our current format for recording matches is not possible for 3DS-only players. Earlier in the project's lifespan we did do 3DS matches, but it turned out to be far too impractical. We apologize and realize this is segregating a little bit, but it is just not a factor we can handle right now.
• Do I need my own recording equipment?
• No, we take care of all the recording and such. You just show up and play.
• When and how do you record the matches?
• We have specific recording days where we set up matches and record all of our footage. The next recording day is always listed in the sidebar. We use Twitch.tv to stream our matches live, then upload them to YouTube afterwards.
• How long do I need to wait until my match is uploaded to YouTube?
• It all depends on when you played your matches. We upload a video every weekday in the order we recorded them, so if you see other matches from the recording session you played on, it's safe to say your session will be up soon.
• Do I need a microphone?
• Microphones are not required, and will only be used during Casual recordings. However, I do recommend buying one if you intend to play on Casual, as it makes the video that much more hectic and party-like.
• What are the differences between Hardcore, Wild Card, and Casual videos?
• Smash Matchers Hardcore: Videos for serious competitive 1v1 matchups. The rules will follow the EVO 2015 Smash 4 ruleset and will change as the accepted Smash 4 ruleset develops.

• Best 2 out of 3 matches
• No character lock
• Custom moves allowed, NO EQUIPMENT

• Stage banning and Dave's Stupid Rule (for those who know what those are) can be used if both players decide to use them
• Smash Matchers Wild Card: Videos where anything Smash-related that is not a match will be uploaded. This can range from a podcast-style discussion of Smash, character playstyle studies, tutorials, and everything else that fits into the "non-match" category. Content creators can submit content for this day, tutorials in particular will be happily accepted. Contact us via Skype or email so we can work out how to do that on an individual basis.
• Smash Matchers Casual: An all-out party hosted by us! Videos for 4-player matches where any rules are allowed. SilBee is always present in this day as the host, but any rules suggested by the players in the video will be accepted. Get creative! Absolutely ANY crazy idea is acceptable!
• How can I help?
• In our Forums, there is a subforum labeled "Unpaid Job Applications". Post about anything you may want to help with in there. The contact form in the sidebar is also a good place to offer any help you may wish to.
